Wim Janssen

Wim Janssen lives and works in Belgrade (Serbia) and Antwerp (Belgium).
He studied experimental film at Sint-Lukas Hogeschool Brussels. His work consists of media installations, video, film and sculpture, mostly characterized by a minimal aesthetic. They’re often translations or conversions of one specific medium into another medium. His two most recent works are “Projektor” and “Black Board – White Cube”.

The creations of Wim Janssen were shown at exhibitions in Europe and the United States, in many renowned venues or festivals like the Moscow Biennial for Young Art, the EFA Project Space New York, Artefact festival in Leuven, the International Film Festival Rotterdam,…

He was nominated for the New Technological Art Award of the Liedts-Meesen foundation in 2008 and received an Honorary Mention in 2011 at the Prix Ars Electronica in Linz, Austria.
