Mona Hedayati
Mona Hedayati is an Iranian-Canadian artist-researcher and a joint PhD candidate in interdisciplinary humanities at Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Society & Culture, Concordia University, Canada and the digital arts doctorate program at Antwerp Research Institute for the Arts, University of Antwerp, Belgium.
Her current interdisciplinary research-practice draws on memory, trauma and sensory studies through engaging with the tools of computation arts. She has a BA in literary and translation studies, an MFA in digital media and an MRes in social-political art and design.
In the context of CODE 2024, she created the work Espresso Expose together with Wouter Maas and Sander Veenhof.
Mona Hedayati is een Iraans-Canadese kunstenaar-onderzoeker en een gezamenlijke PhD-kandidaat in de interdisciplinaire geesteswetenschappen aan het Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Society & Culture, Concordia University, Canada, en het doctoraatsprogramma digitale kunsten aan het Antwerp Research Institute for the Arts, Universiteit Antwerpen, België.
Haar huidige interdisciplinaire onderzoek en praktijk richt zich op geheugen-, trauma- en zintuigenstudies door middel van de inzet van computationele kunst. Ze heeft een bachelor in literatuur- en vertaalstudies, een Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in digitale media en een Master of Research (MRes) in sociaal-politieke kunst en design.
In het kader van CODE 2024 creëerde ze samen met Wouter Maas en Sander Veenhof het werk Espresso Expose.
